Quick, what does a spiritual person look like? How could you tell a poser from the real deal? What  makes a disciple?

If we listen to others, church attendance, hours of prayer, Bible knowledge, our stance on abortion or sexuality, or even whether or not we say grace or wear a cross would be on the list.

It was not on Jesus' list. He said that we will know real disciples from a posers by whether or not they practice sacrificial love. Whether or not they go out of their way for the benefit of others. We know the health of a person's relationship to God through experiencing their relationship with others.

That's it!

Will you be a poser or the real deal today?

My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.

But if we say we love God and don’t love each other, we are liars. We cannot see God. So how can we love God, if we don’t love the people we can see?

1 John 4:20 (CEV)

“I hate, I despise your religious festivals;
    your assemblies are a stench to me.
Even though you bring me burnt offerings and grain offerings,
    I will not accept them.
Though you bring choice fellowship offerings,
    I will have no regard for them.
Away with the noise of your songs!
