Heavenly Father, the hearts of your children break this day for those First Responders who died or were injured in recent fires. There is a huge hole to fill. Fill it with substance. Death makes no sense. Help us to move through it at a healing pace. Encourage us to thank and support those who quietly make our lives hum even at great danger to themselves. This will be no ordinary day for many. Let us be in tune with that. May we not take any day or any person for granted. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
