Point of View

When my wife and I were in San Antonio, we went to the old Pearl Brewery to look at art (only in Texas.) The brewery was now an art museum. One particular piece of sculpture caught our eye. We each viewed it but 180 degrees apart from one other. Each of us found something different. Our point of view made all the difference.

Painters have a point of view. Writers have a point of view. Politicians have a point of view. We certainly have our own point of view. Did you know that God has a point of view?

"Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation? Tell me, if you understand.
Job 38:3-5

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD.
Isaiah 55:8

But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years,
and a thousand years are like a day.
2 Peter 3:8

Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil.
Proverbs 3:7

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.
Revelation 22:13

How often do you check in with God for God's point of view? We miss something vital if we think our point of view (or anyone else's) is the whole picture.
